Saturday 5th December 6, 2009
What can I say I was just too tired to blog at the end of yesterday? The whole day was tiring just because we were negotiating the rain. Still managed to see a lot, and were once again in the right place at the right time to visit the tower of the castle here in Naples.
There’s loads of bargain markets here…every street corner seems to be selling some sort of knock off designer brand.
Today we finally made it to Pompeii and thoroughly enjoyed it. We just delight in the whole guided tour/ story telling side of touring these fabulous monuments.
Naples has grown on me…I just love it…they’re not the friendliest of people and don’t give a fat rats crack if you give Italian a go or not. There’s an attitude as if… “Throw rubbish in our streets, you will still love us eh?”
So far today I’ve had lovely talks in my pigeon English/Italian with English, American, ex pat Australians, Pakistani, Somali, Bangladeshian and Neplese people. Just loving it.!
We’re in a lovely 5 star room just for tonight the only one we could find because of the festival this weekend (I’m so disappointed????) have had 3 baths already and we’ve only been here since midday…ha ha he he
Tomorrow we catch our bus back to Sulmona and Introdacqua. I’m so proud of us traveling the way the locals do…because of all the rain it may have snowed by the time we get home. Have a few more bags to take back with us…gotta love the shopping!

i see the little extra you have on your hat..wish it was closer to see the work...lol..yer i love the italians attitude..do what you want we will and yer you will come back..there is lots of knock off everywhere eh...pleased you got to pompeii..bernie said to tell you he is jealous of the snow...as he reads the blog but gets me to comment...happy travels..

really love your posts, sounds like you are having a fantastic time, we are all good, went over to Sean/Donna's for their Christmas party, Sean dressed up as Santa's helper and managed to terrify a couple of small children.
All of our kids are well, hope to catch up when you get home and can't wait to see all the pics. (no really I mean it!)We are off to NZ from dec. 22 until jan 2nd, so see you in 2010
